Our starfish coat rack or towel hangers are our ORIGINAL DESIGN, one of our best selling items; LOVE this new color combo we've just shipped several in this color combo-blue and white, but this eight hook board was created for a special customer, and now we're offering this same design, longer boards with more hooks, to all of our etsy customers. Our medium blue (it almost looks like royal blue) board with white starfish hooks is a classic color combination. We started with 3 starfish hook boards, then added boards with 4 starfish, after getting a lot of requests for boards with 4 hangers; now we've added listings for this- 8 starfish hooks on a longer board (listed separately). This listing is for a 48" inch board with 6 eight starfish hooks in the colors you choose.

PLEASE NOTE: All hooks boards with mounted hooks now have a 7-10 business day turnaround time. This listing is for your own custom piece like the one shown, made from premium lumber that has been cut by Tommy, painted and then painted with a couple coats and sanded some more by me (Rita) with hints of an ivory base coat showing thru the top coat~hence, the whitewashed effect. Then we attach these lovely starfish hangers I found in an antique shop; they're cast iron, and I've given them a couple coats of paint, and sanded them some to distress them a bit, and bring out the lovely gray blue hues underneath.
The dimensions of this sturdy handmade wooden hanger shown are 48" long, 5 1/2" high, and 1-2" deep, with 8 eight starfish hangers...This board comes with sawtooth hangers already attached, on the back for easy hanging too; We recommend that these boards be hung from the studs in your walls. Or you can use anchortoggle bolts designed for use in drywall. Anchor/toggle bolts can be found at your local hardware store. We will position the center of the sawtooth hangers approximately one inch from each end of your board. If preferred, we can ship your sawtooth hangers unattached and you can attach them yourself. Please designate in the message to seller section if you want us to send you 2 sawtooth hangers UNattached.
Each piece will look slightly different, which just adds to the handmade appeal: yours will be one of a kind! Look closely at the pictures, so you can see the slight variations in the whitewashed look...

Do you take custom orders?
Yes, almost all of our orders for painted towel racks, furniture and prints are custom orders. Most painted listings give you a drop down menu to select your colors and let you choose if your items are distressed or not.
When will my order ship?
Due to the volume of orders we are processing, and since almost everything we make and sell is custom made, the usual turnaround time is 10- 15 business days or 2-3 weeks before we ship your order. Occasionally the time could be less- contact us with questions about your particular order.
I need my order sooner; can you help me?
Depending on how many orders we are currently processing, there may be times when we can ship your order in less than 2 weeks. Contact us with your question, and we'll do what we can to help you.
What info do you need from me to customize my order, and how do I provide this information to you?
Most of our painted listings have a drop down menu where you select paint colors and if you want your items distressed or not. If you are purchasing a painted item, that has multiple hooks, or multiple colors, you can:
1. put your choices in the message to seller section as you check out.
2. send a conversation message to us when you purchase.
For print orders, the process is:

If you forget to give us your color or custom details, we cannot process your order until you send us that info.
Custom and personalized orders
Please double check the personalization info and custom details you send us, as well as your shipping address on file for etsy- we ship to the address etsy provides us. If your item is defective, we will of course replace it for you.
What if I forgot to send you all the info you need to start my order?
We will contact you via an etsy conversation if we have a question about your personalization or if you forgot to include all the info we need. We strongly recommend that you have an email address you check regularly linked to your etsy account for this purpose. If you do not check etsy convos regularly, or have a current email address you check regularly linked to your account, once we have attempted to reach you, we can not proceed with starting to work on your order until you get back to us.
Do you have a bricks and mortar store?
We had a bricks and mortar store on the Outer Banks, Beach House Dreams for 5 years. We closed the store in 2019 but you can still see the items we make and sell in the Lazy Daisy Gift Store in Williamsburg, Va. and in the Lazy Daisy Gift Store in Yorktown Va. They are open 7 days a week until 6 pm!
