Our popular cypress headboard (salvaged from an old Nags Head cottage) is available in whitewashed, as shown in photos 1-4, and natural (sealed) in photos 5-8. Both headboards shown are Queen, but we also make a lot of KING headboards. If you want a King in this style, message us and we'll set up a listing for you purchase... Our handmade headboards are one of our best selling items in our bricks and mortar store Beach House Dreams. If you love the rustic farmhouse or beach cottage style, this will be perfect for you. You are choosing between the natural authentic reclaimed wood, very rustic or the painted whitewashed. Same wood, 2 different finishes. Each one is handmade by Tommy with authentic reclaimed cypress wood here in the Outer Banks of NC. These are available for to be delivered in the Outer Banks ($50) or in the Hampton Roads or Richmond area for $100.

This handmade, high quality, farmhouse headboard in neutral colors,works with any decor, and will bring that rustic reclaimed, repurposed feel to your home every day.This beautifully handcrafted head board is not just for beach homes; it would look terrific in a cabin in the mountains, in your cottage at the river, or in a metro loft or apartment.
Please note: all of our handmade furniture pieces are different; each piece of wood has some imperfections-that's what gives them character, and while process of sanding and painting and distressing is the same for each piece, there will be variations in each headboard ~ You will truly have your own unique piece!
This is a free standing headboard. You can prop it behind the bed as shown on screw your bed frame into it. This does not come with a bed frame.
Average size of these is 65"wide, approximately 55-57" tall (Queen). We have one whitewashed queen cyprus headboard in our store ready for pick up.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take custom orders?
Yes, almost all of our orders for painted towel racks, furniture and prints are custom orders. Most painted listings give you a drop down menu to select your colors and let you choose if your items are distressed or not.
When will my order ship?
Due to the volume of orders we are processing, and since almost everything we make and sell is custom made, the usual turnaround time is 10- 15 business days or 2-3 weeks before we ship your order. Occasionally the time could be less- contact us with questions about your particular order.
I need my order sooner; can you help me?
Depending on how many orders we are currently processing, there may be times when we can ship your order in less than 2 weeks. Contact us with your question, and we'll do what we can to help you.
What info do you need from me to customize my order, and how do I provide this information to you?
Most of our painted listings have a drop down menu where you select paint colors and if you want your items distressed or not. If you are purchasing a painted item, that has multiple hooks, or multiple colors, you can:
1. put your choices in the message to seller section as you check out.
2. send a conversation message to us when you purchase.
For print orders, the process is:
1. put your choices in the message to seller as you check out.

If you forget to give us your color or custom details, we cannot process your order until you send us that info.
Custom and personalized orders
Please double check the personalization info and custom details you send us, as well as your shipping address on file for etsy- we ship to the address etsy provides us. If your item is defective, we will of course replace it for you.
What if I forgot to send you all the info you need to start my order?
We will contact you via an etsy conversation if we have a question about your personalization or if you forgot to include all the info we need. We strongly recommend that you have an email address you check regularly linked to your etsy account for this purpose. If you do not check etsy convos regularly, or have a current email address you check regularly linked to your account, once we have attempted to reach you, we can not proceed with starting to work on your order until you get back to us.
Do you have a bricks and mortar store?
We had a bricks and mortar store on the Outer Banks, Beach House Dreams for 5 years. We closed the store in 2019 but you can still see the items we make and sell in the Lazy Daisy Gift Store in Williamsburg, Va. and in the Lazy Daisy Gift Store in Yorktown Va. They are open 7 days a week until 6 pm!
